Cumming United Methodist Church Juried Festival of the Arts

I had four paintings accepted in the exhibit.  I won two awards.  The oil painting "Traveler" won "Honorable Mention" and the pastel painting "Are We Done Yet" won the "Peoples Choice Award".

ELEVEN PAINTINGS 

Southeastern Pastel Society International Exhibit

The Southeastern Pastel Society is holding their International Juried Exhibit at the Oglethorpe University Museum Gallery. There were 347 entries from 18 states and Japan and 65 paintings were selected for the exhibit.  My pastel painting titled "Social Security??" was accepted into the exhibit and will be on display beginning May 20th.
This painting won the "Exceptional Merit Award".

Painting wins "Honorable Mention"

I have painted portraits for 37 years or so and have always painted in pastel or oil. This painting of "Marty" was my first colored pencil painting and it won honorable mention at the Cumming United Methodist Church exhibit.  I had 3 paintings in the exhibit.

I am looking forward to my upcoming workshop in the beautiful "Sautee Nacoochee Valley" May 23-28.
